San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club: Highlights from the 2007 season
 
2007 US Mixed National Silver Medalists

 

Team California, after a 0-3 start, came on strong and went undefeated the rest of the way in round robin play at the 2007 U.S. Mixed Nationals in Grafton, ND. They won their semi-final match 7-5 against the No. 1 seed, Wisconsin. In the finals, they lost to the 4 time U.S. Mixed National champs from Washington. 
 
This is the first medal win for California in the U.S. Nationals.

2007 Winter Deaflympics Silver Medalists

 
Karen Officer and JoDee Dike-Johnson played lead and second on the US Deaflympics team and won the silver medal along with teammates Valerie Fuechtmann and Elizabeth Matthews from Minnesota.
 
They beat the team from Slovakia in the semifinals and lost to Canada in the gold medal game.

2007 Women's Club Nationals
 
A group of new curlers from the San Francisco Bay area Curling Club won the 2007 Mountain Pacific Curling Association Championship in Seattle, WA which qualified them for the Club Nationals in St. Paul, MN.
 
This is the first women’s competitive team from the state of California to win a regional event and qualify for a national competition.
